The FSYC Open Mic is more than a comedy open mic, and is open to creative performers writers and poets, singers and musicians, and comics alike.

Each week’s show pursues a different theme and prizes are awarded based on audience votes for “Best in Show.” All performers are allotted five minutes to perform. Check with the Fort Sanders Yacht Club’s Facebook page for information on weekly themes and other updates.

Danny Whitson’s popular Comedy at the Grove series returns with a full-slate of hilarious stand-up comics. Local author and comedian Alex Stokes is the headliner, with additional performances from Kareem “Plug” Chapman of Atlanta and Joe Leeper of Knoxville. Birdwell Catering is on hand to keep your tastebuds happy during the show, too.

Visiting and local comics alike will be on hand to lament and/or celebrate everyone’s favorite Hallmark holiday. There’s no cover if you get there before 8 pm.

Monday, February 15: QED Presents Save It For Later (stand-up comedy)

This week’s QED show is a special stand-up comedy edition, featuring eleven of Knoxville’s best comics performing and recording short stand-up sets for their use in comedy festival submissions and other auditions.
