Pizza Ha's at Pizza Hoss, the 2nd Thursday of the month

Pizza Ha’s

Pizza Hoss in Powell, Tennessee, is home to the newest monthly comedy showcase produced by the Rain/Shine Event Productions comedy team. Beginning on the second Thursday of March, each showcase will feature a collection of comedians from Knoxville and the region.

Enjoy a handmade pizza from the Pizza Hoss crew, wash it down with a craft beer from the bar, and settle in for great comedy.

Tonight’s show features the four comedians behind Rain/Shine Event Productions, who also produce the popular monthly showcases First Friday Comedy at Saw Works and Casual Comedy at the Casual Pint-Hardin Valley. Future shows will include showcases for other local and regional comics, spotlights on up-and-coming local performers, and visiting guests from out-of-town, too.

About this month’s performers:

Matt Chadourne is a stand-up comedian and improv comic based in Knoxville. He has performed at the Hell Yes! Festival in New Orleans and was the 2013 winner of the Rocky Top Comedy Comptetion as Knoxville’s best comic. He has performed at comedy festivals across the country. He also produces the weekly experimental comedy show QED Comedy Laboratory every Monday at the Pilot Light in Knoxville’s Old City.
Shane Rhyne has only been performing stand-up comedy for a few years in Knoxville, but has already made a name for himself in region. He was a 2015 runner-up for Knoxville’s Top Comic, according to readers of the Knoxville Mercury. He has hosted shows at comedy clubs across East Tennessee and swears it’s not his fault any of them went out of business after he performed there. Shane is a well-known depression enthusiast, constantly seeking opportunities to turn his middle age depression into an extreme sport.
Sean Simoneau is a journalist, scientist, and vexillologist who originally hails from Seymour, Connecticut, a small town you have never heard of and will never visit. He now resides in Knoxville, where he enjoys modern conveniences such as airports and sushi. He has toured the southeast and overseas. He also produces “Hold the Rich for Ransom,” a semi-regular comedy show in Knoxville.
Tyler Sonichsen began comedy at an early age, then began something resembling actual comedy at a slightly older age as a member of the Western Massachusetts-based TDC crew. He joined the Penguins Without Pants sketch comedy troupe in Syracuse, New York, in 2001. After moving to Washington, DC, he founded the smash hit Laughing Lizard Comedy Showcase and the Hot Broth Open Mic comedy show at the Comedy Spot. Tyler has performed stand-up from Boston to Los Angeles, from London, England, to Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He assures he that he is enjoyable to watch. You don’t have to know who Night Ranger is to find him funny, but it wouldn’t hurt.
March 10 at Pizza Hoss - Pizza Ha's with Matt Chadourne, Shane Rhyne, Sean Simoneau, and Tyler Sonnichsen
