Welcome to another weekly edition of the Scruffy City Live Comedy Guide in East Tennessee. It’s packed full of information to help you find live comedy events across the 423 and 865 area code regions of East Tennessee from this weekend to next weekend.

This is our biggest weekly guide yet! You’ll find more than 30 live comedy events in eight different cities over the next 10 days. This week’s list of live comedy in East Tennessee has everything from St. Patrick’s Day fun tonight to vaudeville comedy shows, live comedy theater, touring comedians, improv, film riffing, and comedy fundraisers for good causes. You can see national tours of the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Harlem Globetrotters. Take part in audience voting at the World Series of Comedy local qualifying rounds. See comics featured on BET, the Howard Stern Show, Conan, and more. Watch comics make fun of a bad sci fi film, enjoy an evening of improv fun, or laugh at an open mic. It’s all here. Ryan Darling and Ben Dalby invite you to join them in downtown Chattanooga for an evening of open mic comedy.

Thursday, March 24: World Series of Comedy (stand-up)
The Comedy Catch. 7:30 pm. $5. 18+

Regional comedians compete for a chance to advance to the World Series of Comedy national championships and you have a vote.

Friday, March 25: Matt Mitchell (stand-up)
The Comedy Catch. Two shows: 7:30 pm and 9:45 pm. $15. 18+

Known to fans of the Rick and Bubba radio show as “The Casio Kid,” Matt Mitchell brings his blend of southern comedy to the Comedy Catch stage in downtown Chattanooga. Comedian DJ Lewis will also perform.

Friday, March 25: Royal Comedy Tour (stand-up)
Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium. 8 pm. $44-$77. 18+

The Royal Comedy tour enters its fifth year of touring the nation. This year’s headliner is comedy queen Sommore, along with performances from Earthquake, Gary Owen, Arnez J, and Special K.

Friday, March 25: The Kerfuffle Follies (variety)

Another season of vaudeville-style comedy and theater awaits at Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre. It’s an old-fashioned vaudeville revue with comedy, music, dance routines, and surprises galore.

Comedians from ScruffyCityComedy.com are hitting the road to bring comedy to Claiborne County. Matt Ward is your host for the evening with Chattanooga’s Corey Forrester as your headliner. Knoxville’s own Shane Rhyne and Victor Agreda, Jr., will also perform, along with Sevier County’s Gail Grantham.

It’s just the amount of wild, untamed comedy you need for America’s favorite night of drinking, featuring performances from Hunter Roberts, Jessica Lane, Jacob Moore, Stephen Bashor, Joey Tucciarone, and Jenna Duvall.

Friday, March 18: Upright Citizens Brigade (improv)

The nationally-acclaimed Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) brings its touring company to the East Tennessee State University campus.

Tuesday, March 22: Harlem Globetrotters (sports/comedy)
Freedom Hall. 7 pm. $20-$210. All ages.

The clown princes of basketball bring their unique blend of comedy and basketball expertise to Freedom Hall as part of the Harlem Globetrotters‘ 90th anniversary world tour. The Washington Generals will probably be there, too.

Thursday, March 24: NSFW Open Mic Comedy Show (open mic)
Mecca Lounge. 10 pm. No cover. 18+

Jessica Lane is your host for Johnson City’s bi-weekly open mic comedy show. Come on out and laugh.

Saturday, March 25: Pride Community Center Dance Party (variety)
Best Western Hotel & Conference Center. 9 pm. $10. 18+

Comedian Jessica Lane is the emcee for this fundraiser event for the Pride Community Center of the Tri-Cities. Join Jessica for comedy, music, dancing, singing, and a drag show as you dance the night away for a good cause.

HBO and BET comedian Tony Tone leads an all-star cast including Grammy-nominated R&B singer Kenny Lattimore and jazz legend Theresa Hightower, in this nationally-touring production of the gospel music comedy Head Over Heels.

Join Boston McCown for an evening of open mic comedy on Market Square with local and visiting comedians.

Monday, March 21: QED Comedy Lab presents “The Slide Show” (experimental/improv)
Pilot Light. 7:30 pm. No cover. 18+

This week’s theme provides a mixture of stand-up, improv, and storytelling as performers must improvise a story based on random images projected onto the stage. Matt Chadourne is the host.

Tuesday, March 22: Einstein Simplified (improv)

For more than two decades Einstein Simplified has entertained Knoxville and East Tennessee audiences with their improv performances. Join the fun on Market Square this week at Scruffy City Hall.

Host John Miller welcomes you to an evening of open mic comedy fun at the Strip’s legendary Longbranch Saloon.

Wednesday, March 23: Scruffy Science Cinepub 6000 (experimental)
Scruffy City Hall. 8 pm. No cover. 18+

A panel of Knoxville comedians watch horrible movies and comment on them for your amusement. Victor Agreda, Jr. is your host for the evening. This month’s movie is the science fiction film Unknown World.

Wednesday, March 23: Full Disclosure (improv)
Open Chord. 8:15 pm. No cover. 18+

Long-form improv is the name of the game for Full Disclosure, performing twice a month at the Open Chord in west Knoxville.

Wednesday, March 23: Caleb Synan (stand-up)
Scruffy City Hall. 10 pm. No cover. 18+

Caleb Synan had one of the top five late night comedy debuts of 2015, according to comedy website The Laugh Button. He’ll be performing a free show at Scruffy City Hall, with additional performances from Knoxville’s Jeff Blank and Tyler Sonnichsen.

Thursday, March 24: Relay for Life Comedy Night (stand-up)
Carleo’s. 7 pm. $10. 21+

It’s a night to laugh for the cure, as comics participate in a fundraiser for cancer research. Nate Cate is your host at Carleo’s, with performances from Karen George, Danny Whitson, Kristine Kinsey, and Jim Seward.
